A
little about me: I was born in Maryland, in a northern suburb of Baltimore.
I believe that I was born with a longing to paint.
I studied,
part-time, with several illustrious instructors, including Ann and Hans
Schuler, at the Schuler School of Fine Arts in Baltimore City, and the
renowned watercolorists Lester Stone and Fritz Briggs.
Later in my life, when
my three children were grown, I returned to study full-time at the Schuler
School, and that is when my life as a professional artist took wing.
I
am a signature member of the Pennsylvania Watercolor Society
and a member of the Hanover Area Arts Guild.
I have
had paintings accepted in shows at the Baltimore Watercolor Society,
the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts, galleries in York, PA and
Harrisburg, PA, and Art At The Mill in Berryville, VA. Also at Shippensburg
College, Mount Saint Mary's College and Gallery 30 in Gettysburg, among
others. I also worked at the Fells Point Gallery in Baltimore, where
some of my paintings were shown.
You
may presently see and purchase some of my artwork at the Gettysburg
Holistic Health Center, in the Artists Cafe
On my Links Page (bottom
right) you will find links to some of the organizations and places mentioned
on this page.
My
work has been published in garden magazines and I have sold many of
my paintings locally.
I work in two large studios in my
original log home in beautiful Fairfield, PA. I also offer classes, in
oils and watercolors, at my Fairfield Fine Arts School in the barn on our property. To see my class calendar, please click on the
Calendar Link on the right.
It
would be my pleasure to welcome you to my studios, to introduce you
to my work, and to offer you instruction in the magical mediums of oil
and watercolor that have brought so much joy to my life. Perhaps they
will do the same for yours!
